Household Water Well Systems Loan Program
The Household Water Well Systems Loan Program provides low-interest loans to rural, low-income homeowners needing to repair, replace, or service their household well system. This program is designed for homeowners who are unable to be connested to new or existing community water systems. Loan terms are at one percent interest for 10 years.
The Household Water Well Systems Loan Program is provided through a grant from the USDA Rural Development Utilities Program. Eligibility criteria for the program are:
Must reside within the project area (Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Randolph, Seminole, or Terrell County) Must own and reside in home or trailer and land (proof of ownership required) Must qualify as a low-income household Must not be used for a new home construction Must not be located along an existing water line Loans cannot be used to pay for a home plumbing system Loans cannot be used for home sewer or septic systems |
